Help with listening to the stream

KSYM streams using Windows Media Audio 9.2, 256k bit rate. The URL is mms://sacrtf2.alamo.edu/ksym
(On SAC campus you might need to use mms://sacrtf2.sac.alamo.edu/ksym
If you have a Windows PC, it should automatically open up the link in Windows Media Player. Download it if you don't have it.
If your web browser chokes when you click on the link, you might need to add a plug-in, like this one for Firefox or Google Chrome or Opera

If you were able to listen BEFORE, but are getting connection error messages NOW, it probably means the computer running the streamer software turned off or messed up. Email the KSYM Staff (ksym@alamo.edu) to reboot it or whack it with a stick.

What about a Mac?

What about smartphones or tablets?

  • TuneIn - pretty much all mobile platforms. Free (Pro version lets you record)
  • ooTunes - iPhone/Pad/Pod. $5
  • Yourmuze.fm - not an app, but mobile-accessible web site. Free
